Wal-Mart grabs
one from YUM! and two from Reliance
Wal-Mart is on a recruitment overdrive for its Indian operations and
is reportedly offering 30% hikes to prospective candidates besides an
American styled five day work culture. Its prized recent catch is Arvind
Mediratta (IIM-Kolkata, IIT-Delhi, P&G, Marico, Whirlpool) who was
the chief marketing officer at YUM! India (Pizza Hut, KFC). His new
designation is VP for Wal-Mart’s cash-n-carry business. He will
be reporting to Raj Jain, Wal-Mart India’s top hand.
From Reliance, Wal-Mart has grabbed S Ramesh (head of buying) and Abhinandan
Shukla (confectionery) from Reliance.
